The Kingdom of God is never going to be here [I Col]

Why is Paul praying? These people have been saved.

He is praying because he wants them to grow. They will show this not in words of spirituality and comfort, but in confrontation and correction. For our kingdom is of God: it is not our nation.

Now, we are commanded to obey and submit to all lawful authority. Even if it is weak, corrupt, and antiChristian: compared with Nero, Obama is a piker. We are allowed to love our country (we are commanded to love our wives). But our inheritance, in the long run, is either of God or not of God. And in that kingdom, Christ is pre-eminent: indeed it is the most efficient of kingdoms, a godly king running a godly kingdom.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

(Colossians 1:9-20 ESV)

How do you show your faith? By your actions. By your hope. By accepting that God is sovereign, that you cannot micromanage everything within your life. By your faithfulness to your role: accepting that if married you will have children and raising them: accepting that making a Godly home is a worthy and good thing.

Accepting that we are created, and we have limits. We are male and female: we are in many nations, many families, indeed many churches (for the wolves have entered the church, and what they could not destroy they tried to break).

And regardless of where we are and what position we are in, we are to do good there. If a student, if on a wage. We are not to wait until qualification or certifications to do good. It is not a role we can delegate.

Indeed by having children we will give the elite hives.

For God made us, male and female, and that was good. There are no otherkin. Gender identity disorder is precisely that: a disorder — those who suffer from it deserve sympathy and aid. We can praise them for their courage, but not for the disorder: no one praises cancer, but cancer survivors. This elite, with their ideas of social justice, live in fantasy land. And that will kill their kingdom.

But the kingdom of God will remain, not merely when our kingdoms are dust, but when the world itself has been renewed, and this earth as passed away. So stick with that kingdom, and ignore this elite.
