Why am I now following the collapse of the house of Ahaz and the destruction of the kingdom of Judah? Why am I quoting my Papist brother about Hugh Hefner, who has just been buried, and is facing the throne of God to make account?
For these are warnings, particularly to women. Do not be like that. Instead preserve your child, keep the faith, remain faithful to your vows. Norma Jean was as much a warning as Athaliah. But note that it was her sister who preserved her child, and kept the house of David from destruction. Be like her
And it came to pass that Hugh Hefner was buried in the tomb near Marilyn Monroe, in a place bought at great expense many years ago.
The man justified the purchase, it appears, saying that the price was a bargain for the opportunity to stay near Marilyn Monroe in eternity.
I am afraid there was no need to pay.
Monroe died, if memory serves, of more or less alcohol-fuelled suicide, after a life spent taking care of male genitals to progress her career (a fact of which we are informed from her very letters to a female friend) and sleeping with at least one very powerful, married man (and his brother) when the great success was, at such greatly disgusting cost, achieved. No sign of conversion left and right.
Hefner clearly pushed an entirely anti-Christian agenda for all his very long life; not presenting himself as a man with the weaknesses of men, but as an ideological, programmatic, very lucid sinner: a liberator of people (of both sexes) from the constraints of an oppressive society. The huge promiscuity and even creeping polygamy that went on in that house for years is here mentioned only en passant. No sign of conversion whatsoever here, too.
One can, therefore, consider it highly probable that the two will, in fact, have to spend an entire eternity in each other’s company.
However, I doubt it will be nearly as much fun
The petty joys of this life and pleasures are not worth your soul, woman. A wise woman knows that there is a limit on what she can drink, and promiscuity makes it impossible to bond and love: here Roosh and Milo, though male, are warnings.
And money can destroy your soul more thoroughly than any illicit substance.
19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal;20but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light;23but if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
24“No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”
1Now when Athaliah, Ahaziah’s mother, saw that her son was dead, she set about to destroy all the royal family. 2But Jehosheba, King Joram’s daughter, Ahaziah’s sister, took Joash son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s children who were about to be killed; she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Thus she hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not killed; 3he remained with her six years, hidden in the house of the LORD, while Athaliah reigned over the land.
4But in the seventh year Jehoiada summoned the captains of the Carites and of the guards and had them come to him in the house of the LORD. He made a covenant with them and put them under oath in the house of the LORD; then he showed them the king’s son. 5He commanded them, “This is what you are to do: one-third of you, those who go off duty on the sabbath and guard the king’s house 6(another third being at the gate Sur and a third at the gate behind the guards), shall guard the palace; 7and your two divisions that come on duty in force on the sabbath and guard the house of the LORD 8shall surround the king, each with weapons in hand; and whoever approaches the ranks is to be killed. Be with the king in his comings and goings.”
9The captains did according to all that the priest Jehoiada commanded; each brought his men who were to go off duty on the sabbath, with those who were to come on duty on the sabbath, and came to the priest Jehoiada. 10The priest delivered to the captains the spears and shields that had been King David’s, which were in the house of the LORD; 11the guards stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the south side of the house to the north side of the house, around the altar and the house, to guard the king on every side. 12Then he brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, and gave him the covenant; they proclaimed him king, and anointed him; they clapped their hands and shouted, “Long live the king!”
13When Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she went into the house of the LORD to the people; 14when she looked, there was the king standing by the pillar, according to custom, with the captains and the trumpeters beside the king, and all the people of the land rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, “Treason! Treason!” 15Then the priest Jehoiada commanded the captains who were set over the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and kill with the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest said, “Let her not be killed in the house of the LORD.” 16So they laid hands on her; she went through the horses’ entrance to the king’s house, and there she was put to death.
17Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and people, that they should be the Lord’s people; also between the king and the people. 18Then all the people of the land went to the house of Baal, and tore it down; his altars and his images they broke in pieces, and they killed Mattan, the priest of Baal, before the altars. The priest posted guards over the house of the LORD. 19He took the captains, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land; then they brought the king down from the house of the LORD, marching through the gate of the guards to the king’s house. He took his seat on the throne of the kings. 20aSo all the people of the land rejoiced;
It is worth noting that the tyrant was reduced by alternate sources of power: in this case the temple. Joash then took his place and rededicated the nation of Judah to God. His mother had preserved him from the murderous tyranny of Ataliah, and in the reformation her tame priest was destroyed.
For men of God are always dangerous. True authority is always dangerous. The feminists want men gone or gelded, subservient to their manipulations, regardless of the cost.
Woman of God, you have this to do: find a man, wife him up, have his children: if men are disgusting, live in godly singleness in the home of your father and care for your mother and father. The times are hard. You will need all the protection you can get. For the narrative of this age would destroy you as it did Marilyn. If you compete with the party girls you will become, like them, a commodity, a thot.
You may then have power and wealth, but it will not last. It will end in failure. Choose instead to build a family and a life, and look not at the predators with their cars and pretty lies. You have children to protect: in times of violence, like Jehosheba, you may have to run.
I had to look up what a ‘thot’ is. Charming. Do I need to get out more?
No. I had to look it up about three weeks ago.
Calling Jezebel that, though accurate, would get you killed.

It is. One of the rules on a ton of blogs is that they will not allow thots to comment, because they want to go all Kardashian
