The dead cranberry and the cloths of heaven.

A couple of days ago Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer of the Cranberries died, aged 46.

I would not say this to her, for she is not the person who walks on my dreams.

But it is time to pray for those who do.

He wishes for the Clothes of Heaven

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
