Against tolerating evil

We have to associate with the world. And the world wants to regulate us. One of the issues we face is that social welfare want us to raise children by their standards — which do not include immoral behaviour, but go far further, and that they will intrude and destroy to make this ideological point.

Gloriaville (the Cooperites) are a cult. They are a warning. If you isolate yourself, you can be accused of all things, convicted, and you will die. For the world is jealous and does not want church discipline. They want our worship and fealty instead.

1 Corinthians 5:9-6:11

5:9I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral persons — 10not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since you would then need to go out of the world. 11But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one. 12For what have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those who are inside that you are to judge? 13God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”

6:1When any of you has a grievance against another, do you dare to take it to court before the unrighteous, instead of taking it before the saints? 2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we are to judge angels — to say nothing of ordinary matters? 4If you have ordinary cases, then, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church? 5I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to decide between one believer and another, 6but a believer goes to court against a believer — and before unbelievers at that?

7In fact, to have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? 8But you yourselves wrong and defraud — and believers at that.

9Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, 10thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers — none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

What we have to do, in this time, is note that the world is against us. We do need to practice church discipline. That will be painful. Brother Jones’ daughter will have to stop tomcatting around, and Sister Sally’s son is not a good boy: he is a thief and has slept with half the youth group. Such need to be told to reform and repent. Gloriaville has done that. It has confronted wrongdoing and kept it within the church. For doing this, they are labelled as conspirators, oppressing women and hiding (male) abuse.

As if he state and elite are not abusive: but the political class lies and projects.

The callous elitism on display here is astounding. Both the Times (on the left) and Wilcox (on the right) are observing that the new family model is creating massive human misery, and both respond by asking why the peasants don’t simply eat cake.

This is a problem Herrnstein and Murray described in detail in their much maligned book The Bell Curve. In Chapter 8 (Family Matters), they explain that the reason college graduates and the UMC have lower divorce rates is because these things correlate positively with IQ, not because high SES and higher education themselves reduce divorce rates. In fact, both of these factors increases divorce rates once IQ is controlled for …

The reality is that to our elites on both the right and the left, such a proposal is unthinkable. Both would rather have millions of innocent children suffer than switch to a model that is not optimized specifically for the elites. At some point down the road, the profound economic cost of this new family model will eventually make at least some of our elites more open to reconsidering this. But for now, expect to see ever louder calls from the elites on the left and the right for weak men to stop screwing feminism up, and for non elites to simply become elites so our dysfunctional family system won’t be so obviously dysfunctional.

*While it is true that men without good earnings are far less likely to marry, it is also true that weakening marriage as an institution greatly reduces men’s incentives to have high earnings. This isn’t a problem of uni-directional causation, but a vicious cycle.

Scott, noting this, comments that there is a need for another way. The current churchians bow down to far to the state. They are letting the courts in to destroy. We need another way. A good place to start is with the truth, including this: the current paradigm for marital violence, the Duluth model is a lie: designed to make soy men, whom (I am informed) are as attractive to the average female as a well-aged hunk of road kill. [1]

Those of us who find ourselves in this line of work, and who have been “red-pilled” I believe have a moral and ethical obligation to stop ignoring the psychological problems that are unique to men of this age and eventually they will start to conceptualize, write about and even offer help based on their own integration of sound psychological principles and red-pill truth.

The church has to work out its own discipline. This will involve shunning and confrontation. We should never use the civil courts, family court included. The fact that we have to deal with lawsuits from without is enough. The gsoepl and truth will get us sufficient trouble.

And tolerating evil, from the state or from within, is not love.
