Hate this world and this world’s convergence [I John 2].

This is the beginning of the busy time. The mid semester break and Easter are over, and both lads in Casa Pukeko are doing assignments and sitting exams. I have exams to mark: papers to review, and managerial consultants with redesigns for where I work to thwart.

And it is very easy to love this world. It has a beauty. This world was created good, and even fallen, there continues to be fragments of beauty. The theologians would call this general grace, for good things happen to us, if we deserve them or not.

Knox Church. Where the Unitarian convergence lives. Pretty, ain't it?

Knox Church. Where the Unitarian convergence lives. Pretty, ain’t it?

Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake.
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.
I write to you, children, because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

(1 John 2:7-17 ESV)

This world wants us to converge on the agenda of this world. They call this convergence, and consider it a good world. They like consensus, agreement, and find conflict hateful. There is no room for debate. Disagreement, particularly if backed with data, is seen as hatefacts, and must be suppressed.

This affects even those who critically appraise, for our work is then marketed as in such a way.

But, Chris, you say, we are told to love? Should we not love these? Should we not let the Unitarians in, and accept them, let the Mohammedans in, and bow to them? Should we not accept and love and let the internal spirit of each man be their guide?

No. That is the Unitarian convergence, and that is death.

Christ is the only reason we have overcome this world. It is not our doing, and it is not something we strive for. It is a finished fact. Our job in this world is to proclaim christ. To tell the Unitarians that they are in error, for only through the cross can one be alright with the creator: to tell the Quakers and the Liberals that it is not our conscience that should our guide be, but the Spirit of God, for we can lie far too easily to ourselves, and tell the Mohammedan and Mormon that they were fed lies by their prophets, and they must return to the cross and accept Christ.

And tell the atheist and agnostic that this life is not all there is: they will be accountable.

None of this is acceptable to this world. We hate the world, for it is against us, and tolerance leads to death. We love the brothers, for all who stand for Christ need our support.

Christ has overcome this world. The spirit of this age knows this, and rages, trying to entrap as many as possible, and to silence to gospel. This has always been. Our job, this Sunday and every day, is to proclaim it. Regardless of how busy we are.

UPDATE.

Yep, we need to name and note who is promoting that we preach not the gospel.

This is why it is absolutely vital to be accurate and conservative in identifying SJWs. They are going to try to transform what is quite clearly a list of harassers into a false claim of being harassed. Don’t give them any ammo; only definite and self-defined SJWs who can be confirmed to have attempted to disemploy or no-platform people in defense of social justice ideals should be included. And take the time to provide the archived evidence of their SJW activity or self-designation. The stricter we are, the more effective the list will be over time.

Update two.

A list, current to 2015, of over 200 people punished by the Social Justice Wounded for hatefacts.

A list of current SJWs, referred to by Vox above. It helps to know who your enemy is.
