The law of the land. Locally, we would say “Yeah, right”. Half the laws the elite write are what they call aspirational and I would call petty tyranny, to be ignored or mocked. Laws are needed. Judges are needed. But laws should be few, reflect the laws of God, and consider acts.
Not thoughts or feelings. Most people break laws. Routinely. Because to live under the straitjacket of this elite is to live with a poverty of spirit. And the Law of Moses did not include that.
Instead, the law of Moses tells the elite to not be corrupt, to not play favourites, and to not acquire a harem, a large stable, and the other common attributes of the pagan kings around them. The King is to protect the people and ensure there is justice. The King is not to be a stranger among the people, but one of them.
In a democracy, everything written about the King applies to the Prime Minister and to his cabinet.
Deuteronomy 16:18-20, 17:14-20
18 You shall appoint judges and officials throughout your tribes, in all your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, and they shall render just decisions for the people. 19You must not distort justice; you must not show partiality; and you must not accept bribes, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of those who are in the right. 20 Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, so that you may live and occupy the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
17:14 When you have come into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,” 15 you may indeed set over you a king whom the LORD your God will choose. One of your own community you may set as king over you; you are not permitted to put a foreigner over you, who is not of your own community. 16 Even so, he must not acquire many horses for himself, or return the people to Egypt in order to acquire more horses, since the LORD has said to you, “You must never return that way again.” 17 And he must not acquire many wives for himself, or else his heart will turn away; also silver and gold he must not acquire in great quantity for himself. 18 When he has taken the throne of his kingdom, he shall have a copy of this law written for him in the presence of the levitical priests. 19 It shall remain with him and he shall read in it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, diligently observing all the words of this law and these statutes, 20 neither exalting himself above other members of the community nor turning aside from the commandment, either to the right or to the left, so that he and his descendants may reign long over his kingdom in Israel.
Instead we have the pandering to the minorities, for fear of the busybodies in the internet police, or the feelings of minorities. This news is from the internet archive: the current version has removed the sentence about Allah because of a complaint. It is as if we have forgotten that justice will trample feelings for the truth.
Karrien Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds nursery in Hermon Hill, confirmed that one of her staff was slashed by three women while on her way to work from Wanstead High Street.
While the woman waited at the junction with Hermon Hill at 9.30am, she was attacked from behind by the trio, according to Ms Stevens.
Ms Stevens said the victim told her the assailants then shouted: “Allah, Allah.”
The Met have confirmed that Counter Terrorism Command were aware of the incident but were not leading the investigation.
The nursery director said they then pulled the woman to the ground and stabbed her in the arm before running off down the street.
After being seen by paramedics, the victim was escorted round the local area to help spot her assailants but was unsuccessful.
The elite have duties. These duties do not include telling us what to think (the Levites wrote the law and gave it to the king so he would read it and know his duty: they can preach, kings do not). It is not to deal with hate crimes, the new anti soviet agitatiom. It is not to bribe the populace into compliance, nor is it to elect a new nation by mass immigration. It is to protect the borders and ensure there is justice.
And on that front, they are failing.
But know this: the king can lead a people astray, and when that happens, the king is all too often removed. Do not aspire to be the king. Aspire to live correctly and fear the law. And may justice flow like a terrible river, removing the baubles from high office, and making us again brothers.
