This morning it came to me. Jesus sighed with frustration. He had been healing. He had fed thousands. He had preached the kingdom of God. But the Pharisees wanted confirmation. They wanted something spectacular: fire from heaven falling on sodden sacrifices, as in the day of Elijah.
There would be no spectacular sign for this generation. The incarnate God was among them. Satan had tempted him with this — jump off the temple peak and survive — because the spectacular signs of power are so reliable.
As if they cannot be faked. As if they cannot be subverted.
What the Pharisees were doing was questioning the authority of Jesus, trying to take his platform away. He was not playing their game of virtue signalling. righteousness has never needed to signal virtue: instead it offends those who do.
11The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, asking him for a sign from heaven, to test him. 12And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.” 13And he left them, and getting into the boat again, he went across to the other side.
14Now the disciples had forgotten to bring any bread; and they had only one loaf with them in the boat. 15And he cautioned them, saying, “Watch out — beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.” 16They said to one another, “It is because we have no bread.” 17And becoming aware of it, Jesus said to them, “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18Do you have eyes, and fail to see? Do you have ears, and fail to hear? And do you not remember? 19When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect?” They said to him, “Twelve.” 20“And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect?” And they said to him, “Seven.” 21Then he said to them, “Do you not yet understand?”
The leaven of the Pharisees is much: hypocrisy, a need to show ourselves as righteous, and a skepticism about movements of the spirit. Those I share: I come from the frozen and cold Presbyterians who do not commit great sins but lose their love in a false hope that their righteousness will show their election.
It is better to love. It is better to be holy than rely on vestments and ritual. But since we are fallen, we rely on these, and since we are evil, we say we are virtuous rather than repenting.
As if creativity does not need to reflect beauty or truth, or engineering the laws of physics. It is within the limitations were were created with that we make beauty, and show our honour. The lies of our current narrative destroy both.
And when shut down, the truth still leaks out by samizdat.
As a company that relies on the creative impulse (a predominently male item) as its stock in trade, Google had better slap these puritanical bitches down or it is doomed. More’s the pity, because the low T brainy nerdy type of guy who works at a place like Google is already extremely lenient with these SJW Nazi Gynos. It probably is a paradise for the nasty, lazy, incompetents. They should stfu and enjoy the ride. The problem for these horrible women is that even under the influence of the blue pill, many high IQ guys are too intelligent to ignore basic biological facts and reality.
The current crop of managers are best dealt with by leaving them well away from anything important. This is happening in health: we have to ignore the restrictions and regulations we are chained with to do any good for any patient. (The current form filling time is over an hour per patient for the mandatory data. That comes directly from time spent with the patient, which may do good. The forms do not).
I expect google will fall, and take Android with it. We need to back up our infrastructure. This is the signs we can see: when the narrative of lies takes over, the organization, the corporation, the health system and even the nation loses any ability to do good.
Yesterday’s example was google.
There will be more: within our corporations, our nations, and even our church. Do not be them. Do not be like them.
