Honour your father.

It appears that the grandfather of the boys is now ill and in hospital. While we were finishing up the house, Son one was on the phone talking to his mother and son two and I organized for them to visit so that they can sort out what is happening. They leave tomorrow, and won’t be back until summer school starts in January.

Their Aunt thinks Grandpa is 89. He did not leave his apartment after a fire alarm, so the emergency people entered and he was in such a state that he was admitted.

To say I am worried is an understatement. This morning son two is watching games on the bed, while his cat (who should not be inside) lies next to him.

Why did I organise the flights, used airpoints? This is the father of the woman who left me. Because I honour him. He cares and loves his grandsons… me, not as much.

One of the boys needs to be back for exams in January, and by then we, god willing, be moving to a warmer part of Dunedin.

But pray for Grandpa. Including that he will find salvation, and that the boys will be safe.
