The true holy war [Rev 22]

This world is less that perfect. Here I am, reading Revelations, knowing the book is finishing, as the newspapers talk about massacres, and not merely in Paris. In Lebanon, in Nigeria, in places innumerable. I note that the French are being their usual efficient selves and not merely arresting the bastards that killed 192 people but bombing the headquarters of the group who claimed responsibility.

I guess we need to praise God for the deaths of any poor Christians left in Raqquia, for that is the headquarters of ISIS, and their suffering is now over, their witness complete. Because it is the headquarters if ISIS, and they crucify those of Christ.

And we need to recall that ours is a God who will heal us. But we also have to recall that we are in a war in this life: not against people or princes but the memes: the ideologies, the causes of destruction.

There is enough hatred at present to fill a cup until it makes the world sick.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

(Revelation 21:1-8 ESV)

And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and, kneeling before him, said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him.” And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.

(Matthew 17:14-18 ESV)

So let us be clear about what happened. It was a massacre: I have many words that could be said, but the best response comes from the bluntest Papist in the blogosphere. The embedded tweet is the narrative: note it comes from the Huffington Post: it may look pretty but is evil. The truth is with the cawing crow.

It is not difficult to understand why the terrorists did this. They did this because they follow Islam. They are more violent than most others simply because they follow Islam in a more orthodox way than most others. They are the coherent Muslims. You won’t find around truer Muslims than them. But obviously, if you close your eyes in front of the big elephant in the room you will have to have difficulties to understand why all the porcelain is getting broken.

As to the justification, Evil Clown contradicts himself once again. These people clearly follow their conscience. Who is Francis to judge? Does he think they are in hell in now, or in heaven? if he thinks that they are (very probably) in hell, he must also say that his senseless waffle with Scalfari is worthless, as this is retard-proof demonstration that individual conscience cannot go against Christian rules unpunished. If he thinks they are not (very probably) in hell, well, the world truly needs to know. But again, this is what the man has said he believes: that these men will be saved, because they believed in what they did.

My cat is more catholic than this Pope. Actually, my cat would feel offended by the comparison.

In the meantime, we mourn the victims of another massacre, as we try to ignore the elephant amidst the noise of crushing porcelain, and the cries of human lives about to be slaughtered, because “conscience”.

Actually, I can imagine one of the eight having some last doubt of conscience in the last hour; and telling himself that no, even an infidel like Francis says if he follows his conscience he will go to heaven, so a fortiori his Prophet must be perforce right when he says the same.

This blood is on all those who have contributed to the narrative of the good Islam, “betrayed” by its, uh, most orthodox followers.

And of course, this blood is on Francis, who helps them even to go to hell.

What those liberals forget is that their thought flows form Christendom: and that we are told that we are at war. Not against the rulers of this nation: that is the error of the anabaptists, with their holiness spiral. But against that which would rule over us: our lust, our sloth, our greed: and that which oppresses our peoples, such as ideologies that would blind us, and a tolerance that makes no allowance for holiness, or shame, or guilt, or repentance.

Or salvation.

It is those who conquer, by the grace of God, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, who will have comfort to come. THis elite cannot comprehend this.

And at the end, the souls of those who have died will bear witness: they were killed not merely by idiot fanatics worshipping that demon Allah, but by the fools who opened the gates and deliberately bought the fanatics into their cities, knowing that these people hated Christ and all the works of civilization, so they could signal their virtue.

Do not be them. Do not be like them.

  1. I was watching old Q&A reports with Missler, as he said that 2014 bore a striking geopolitical similarity to 1914, as the world stood on the precipice of a war that it did not want, and could see no way to avoid. Although 2015/1915 isn’t as pretty a comparison… I think he has a point.

Do we return with retribution, we make more martyrs and spread more hate. Do we turn the other cheek, we’re likely to get a bullet through it. Is there a perfect choice? No – and the world demands what they will not receive.

Personally (being pre-trib) I see this as a ramping up to the four horseman, since the White Horse carries the anti-Christ, the one who bears false peace. Does this go much further, whoever can restore order can ask for what he will.
