Against the unitarians, Islam included.

The trinity is one of those things that make one’s head hurt. We have difficulty understanding our own nature, how our thoughts reflect back on our body and how our brains change as we think.

This had led to the rise of those who preach that God is but one: that the trinity is false. There have been many variations of this in the early church, but the two modern versions of this are the Unitarians (who are now dying in a liberal death spiral) and the Islamic faiths, who are not dying in such a spiral.

Let’s be fair to the Islamic theologians: they do learn from other areas. They have looked at what modernity has done in the West, and they want nothing to do with it. They want a reformation — but their false prophet did not die on a cross, nor claimed to be divine.

And they are wrong in many ways, for Jesus did claim divinity, and for that he died.

The Healing at the Pool on the Sabbath

After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.

Now that day was the Sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and it is not lawful for you to take up your bed.” But he answered them, “The man who healed me, that man said to me, ‘Take up your bed, and walk.’” They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.” The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

Jesus Is Equal with God

This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

(John 5:1-18 ESV)

One should never underestimate the intelligence of the ancients, or pretend that they were less enlightened than we are. Last century billions were murdered on the altar of Marx: this century millions are being crucified, shot and beheaded on the altar of Wahabi, and billions at the charnel house called Planned Parenthood. Molech takes many forms.

But a good rule remains: by your fruit you will know them. The Imams have read their history, and one of their conclusions is correct: Marxism is a death spiral, for it removes from people a sense that they will be eternal

Within the church a pandering to the scientific ideologues without understanding the limits of knowledge led to an effete liberalism. The liberal church, for many branches functionally became unitarian, removed any power of salvation and call for repentance. They became soft therapuetic cuddly bots, and as such society vomited them out: for the form of religion without the power of God is worse than useless, it is a delusion.

Most of the time, Liberalism is Marxism in a suit, and Feminism Marxism in a pretty dress. . The post modern idea that we can transcend our tribalism is wrong: we are loyal to our family, our tribe, and at most our country (county). Each society had flaws, and when we lost the confidence to ban evil in our own societies and others we became weaker.

But we worship a living God, who came, not to fight and enslave, burn and kill, in the hope that the world can be enslaved to that demon Allah under the sword, but instead allowed himself to be tortured to death by pagans so that the evil of this world would be expunged.

This should drive us to our knees, in tears, and call us back to God. Instead we reject it in our confidence in a false reading of history as progression (which owes as much to Hegel as it does to any Whiggish historian) and, in the process, make ourselves irrelevant.

Let us open our eyes, and pray for our churches, for they are under oppression. Molech is doubling down, for his time is limited. There will be either a correction or destruction: but the path this world is on is not sustainable. And that which cannot go on for ever will stop.
