Sometimes you look at scripture and you know you read last night the introduction. The Cappy wrote this yesterday.

I’ll say it again, because it’s true, leftists tend to be less attractive because to be attractive means you have to work at it.

You have to eat right, you have to work out, you have to expend some effort in looking appealing to the opposite sex.

That basic amount of work and the sex drive that should compel someone to do it, is outdone by the hatred and fear of real work most leftists have.

This leads into the summary passage that Paul had at the end of his discussion of morality. He is asking us to choose what is beneficial, what will not control us, and avoid that which will damage us.

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

¹²“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. ¹³“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food,” and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is meant not for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. ¹⁴And God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power. ¹⁵Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! ¹⁶Do you not know that whoever is united to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For it is said, “The two shall be one flesh.” ¹⁷But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. ¹⁸Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself. ¹⁹Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? ²⁰For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

If we go back a few days, in the reading we were told that he who destroys the temple of God will be held to account by God Almighty.

And we are now taught our bodies are that temple: it is thus our duty to work on our fitness and weight: to refrain from acquiring a dozen or so sexually transmitted diseases, or uniting with sex workers.

And the same applies to those who choose to kill people in the church. It matters. You will be accountable.

If we look at the liberals, they consider their ideology trumps all reason, all science, all justice and all religion. They think that it is unfair to judge people because they are fat, or unfit, or unable to survive in the world. They demand resources they do not earn.

The rest of us have to be realistic. Sex leads to unity — oneitis and sex goggles are part of that design, not bugs — and you need to discipline yourself here and choose to be faithful and chaste. (Which is a struggle).

You need to step away from those cupcakes and hit the gym (even when recovering from illness — like yesterday). And this can be a struggle as well.

But if we do not choose to live wisely, our habits will corrupt us. That’s part of the way we are built. The Left, who deny this, become ugly — and as they try to destroy the Church, you will be held to account.
