Firstly the stats….

Thanks everyone. And a particular thanks to the commentators — feedback helps, and working in a vacuum is horrible.

The weight has remained stable this month. I’m managing to work out about every second day, and the jeans that fitted are now loose… and my run distance has increased.

I started from a fairly bad place. This is me in 2008.. the very fat man on the left.

Need to work on getting up to an hour six days a week. Without causing injury. And then, hopefully, I will no longer be obese

    I cut out (almost) all the carbs starting Jan 1 and have lost 25lbs with about the same exercise that you describe. I get my carbs from veggies. No simple carbs at all. After the first week or so I stopped missing them. I snack on nuts, meat and cheese with the occasional apple for a treat. I’m also building muscle faster this way. It shows.

    I’m E’s little disciple and am doing 5:2, which is working (albeit slowly, everything is slow for me). Works like gangbusters for her. :)

    Good for you! That’s a lot of work done. Keep it up!
