I am now a few days into my three weeks annual leave. Some quick notes…
- You are never quite off when you have your cellphone connected to your work email. I do, I have, and I have forwarded some emails for a project this morning.
- It is amazing how much calmer you are after a few days of 10 h sleep. And how much less hungry.
- Teenage kids recover three times faster than you do.
- There are too many homes for sale in this holiday town. Big ones. Small ones. It looks like keeping two sets of mortgage and rates paid is a tad too much, particularly as the average house price in the big city less than two hours away is 600K and some suburbs have average prices over a million. The average wage is 60K: this is unsustainable.
