Dalrock has a post up this morning which needs to be widely read. In it he puts together a thesis that Feminism (The sisterhood) cannot survive without a mixed economic model. The state has to intervene, to skew the educational system in woman’s favour, remove the male led household (because the children from that structure do too well) and how it has insinuated into every aspect of our lives. In the comments, Deti summarized the current situation.
Women presumed men would simply absorb all the changes, adjust to them, and yet continue on as they did before — working to provide, creating, and making women’s lives easier. Women writing on the topic have said as much. They expected hot alpha studs to service their sexual needs. They expected all the other men to wait for marriage or marry less attractive women. They demanded good, attractive men to be available when they decided they had had enough of the carousel and wanted to marry. They expected to be able to have sex with whom they wanted, when they wanted, and never to be judged for it. They expected men to subsidize their lifestyles, and they have — with all sorts of welfare programs. All this was done by appealing to emotion and “fairness” because it’s “for the children” and “if you don’t support this you’re a sexist pig”.
Now people stand around blinkered and scratching their heads, genuinely puzzled that men at large in our society are either sackless omegas, inveterate slackers, productive men absolutely refusing to marry or sire children, douchebags like “The Situation”, or smooth PUAs bedding women and living at a bare minimum of productivity. They wonder why a growing number of divorced men absolutely refuse remarriage. Simple: It’s all about incentives. Incentives matter. Feminism has incentivized all the behavior we see in men.
I keep on wondering why I am blogging from Hosea. Basically every day, for two weeks. In part, it is because it is the most difficult text for the day, But the other part is that our current ways are unsustainable, and need to change.
For it they do not they will be changed for us. And there is nothing new about nations losing their way.
2The LORD has an indictment against Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways, and repay him according to his deeds. 3In the womb he tried to supplant his brother, and in his manhood he strove with God. 4He strove with the angel and prevailed, he wept and sought his favor; he met him at Bethel, and there he spoke with him. 5The LORD the God of hosts, the LORD is his name! 6But as for you, return to your God, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.
7A trader, in whose hands are false balances, he loves to oppress. 8Ephraim has said, “Ah, I am rich, I have gained wealth for myself; in all of my gain no offense has been found in me that would be sin.” 9I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, as in the days of the appointed festival.
10I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets I will bring destruction. 11In Gilead there is iniquity, they shall surely come to nothing. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, so their altars shall be like stone heaps on the furrows of the field. 12Jacob fled to the land of Aram, there Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he guarded sheep. 13By a prophet the LORD brought Israel up from Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded. 14Ephraim has given bitter offense, so his Lord will bring his crimes down on him and pay him back for his insults.
Judah was not full of saints. They were sharp businessmen, they pushed the boundaries of ethical behaviour. They oppressed their slaves. They needed correction. And they were the people who became the remnant. For they did not move over completely to pagan ways, to ritual orgies, to ritual infanticide, to the occult. Israel did. So God sent men to warn. And they were ignored.
There are three ways out of the situation we are in. They have all been tried lately.
Lithuania realized that its system would not cope when the GFC hit. So they retrenched. Everyone had a 10% pay cut. Managers and leaders had a 20% pay cut. The tax system was simplified, and regulations removed. There was no attempt to bail out the banks. They are doing better, now… but their family systems were destroyed by socialism, and people are emigrating or not having kids.
Iceland refused to honour any debt that its banks foolishly took — in the UK housing bubble, in Europe. They threw out the men, the place is now a gynocracy. As are result, they are doing a little less well financially (the men have withdrawn into doing what they like) — and they are keeping their birth rate up because their daughters are having their first kid at 16 or 17 and getting granny to raise it. Even so, each generation is getting smaller.
Southern Europe and Ireland were told they had to support the banks to get bail out money. They have been forced to have swingeing cuts in their social welfare system and 30 — 50% cuts in state salaries. This has led to the destruction of their state supported social structures. (The EU does not think of family structure, but family structures). They now have to deal with economic refugees from North Africa who will not assimilate (because they are hyperislamic) and cannot live in their home country (because they cannot grow enough food). They are in a death spiral.
By the consequences of our policies we will judge them. And by that rubric, the mixed model (social democratic) of the EU and the move to feminism as an organizing system for or society has failed. We can either turn in back ourselves or we will end up having it done to us.
And that will kill feminism. It is a destructive parasite. Left unchecked, it will kill the host.
