Today’s passage has angels, and war, and salvation and contempt. It talks about those who bring many to faith being lite the stars in the heaven. It talks about secrets. Daniel was a civil servant for the Babylonians and the Persians who followed. He was a practical man. But he was also a prophet.
And this prophecy says that evil will increase, but those of the faith will be saved. For their names are written in the book of life.
1“At that time Michael, the great prince, the protector of your people, shall arise. There shall be a time of anguish, such as has never occurred since nations first came into existence. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book. 2Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.4But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and the book sealed until the time of the end. Many shall be running back and forth, and evil shall increase.”
13“But you, go your way, and rest; you shall rise for your reward at the end of the days.”
I find it interesting that there are not many novelists who will write urban fantasy with such. I can understand the Christians doing this: we want to subcreate not where the Almighty has done his work, and we know not to interfere where we should not tread. However, the culture is rapidly becoming pagan, and evil, and this will, for the prophecy is confirmed by the teaching that many will fall away from faith, lead to a corrupt and evil society, in love with death, and hating all that is good and true and right.
sounds like an US campus, more intolerant of dissent than the Soviet Central Committee.
The University of California, Berkeley, on Wednesday canceled a scheduled speech by the conservative author Ann Coulter, in the latest blow to the institution’s legacy and reputation as a promoter and bastion of free speech.
University administrators said in a statement that they could not let Ms. Coulter speak because of active security threats. In a letter to the Berkeley College Republicans, which was sponsoring the speech, two vice chancellors said the university had been “unable to find a safe and suitable venue for your planned April 27 event featuring Ann Coulter.”
The letter, written by Scott Biddy, the vice chancellor, and Stephen Sutton, the vice chancellor for student affairs, said it was “not possible to assure that the event could be held successfully — or that the safety of Ms. Coulter, the event sponsors, audience and bystanders could be adequately protected.”
After the cancellation was announced on Wednesday, Ms. Coulter said in an email that she would “definitely” speak at Berkeley next week.
The progressives are losing. So they are doubling down, they are becoming intolerant, end they want us broken, corrmpt, and lost in sin. Do not give them the satisfaction. They will face the contempt of he ages. Do not be them. Do not be like them.
