I know this is a bit of a patchwork this morning, but the passage from Jeremiah does seem to apply to this time. Those who mock God will lose his protection. There has been a bomb blast in Russia, and whoever did this forgot one of the rules of realpolitik: Do not poke the Bear, for the Bear tends to win.
Russia is the biggest player in Europe, and has been since the time of Napoleon. Leave him alone. Or you may find yourself facing an infantry that chants as they charge, and practices, historically, by beating Austrians and Germans.
A suspected bomb blast inside a train in the St. Petersburg Metro killed ten passengers and injured dozens of others. The entire Metro system was shut down as bomb squads and rescuers responded to the emergency.
The explosion happened as the train was travelling between the stations Tekhnologichesky Institut and Sennaya Ploshchad of the St. Petersburg Metro, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) confirmed.Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said there were 47 victims of the blast and put the number of fatalities at 10. She said that the six people being treated in St. Petersburg hospitals for injuries remain in critical condition.
The minister added that among the victims was a 15-year-old girl, who has burns and a head injury.
I’ve switched the news feed off so I can finish this, but the people responsible have not been identified…officially… but the situation is changing. What is clear is that throughout Christendom — the Orthodox and Apostate branches (that is the West) the enemy is trying to drive us into terrorism, for no one believes that such people will settle into being good children of the imperium and subjects of the crown.
Ah, but what, in fact, is the theory?
Magic Dirt Theory appears to be a coinage of the right, or the alt-right. It is a rhetorical construct designed to disparage that kind of liberalism, progressivism, or cosmopolitanism which would seem to hold that everyone born to some place is and should automatically be a citizen of that place, fully equal, indeed, indistinguishable from the pre-existing native population, no matter what culture the newborn is later raised in, and irrespective of any other attachment or inheritance, or lack thereof, he or she may have to the place.
I have some bad news for those on the alt-right who have pegged a good deal of their overall political philosophy to sneering at Magic Dirt Theory. In this regard; few lefties, if any, even if they say explicitly that they believe in it, do, in fact, believe it. What they do believe, in this particular, seems to come, at least for the most part, from one of two related threads. One is the cosmopolitan thread, which holds national boundaries, or any boundaries between peoples, as artificial, preposterous, and evil. In this view, the citizen of Kenya is already as American as anyone native born, because any kind of exclusive Americanism is, itself, a concept both wicked and false. That’s not Magic Dirt Theory; that’s saying the dirt doesn’t matter at all. Of course, it’s a fantastically silly position to take.1
The other thread from the left is not that people that are born somewhere automatically become indistinguishable from and interchangeable with the locals, but that if they can be concentrated, so that their culture, language, and religion are kept intact, and if any other attempts to assimilate them can be defeated, then they will eventually become, not locals, but enemies of the existing population, and tools to be used by leftist politicians who will cater to them to gain and maintain power. That is not only not Magic Dirt Theory; it is its opposite. Indeed, their real position is nearly indistinguishable from that of the more enthusiastic elements of the alt-right and alt-white, to paraphrase: “You can never be an American (because we won’t let you be).”
Expect, however, that there will disagreement. The issue will be denied. It will lead to flag masks, candles, and playing John Lennon. Again. As if that ever worked.
Several Russian media outlets have released the CCTV picture of the bearded suspect who was wearing a long, black gown-like top and a hat. He is blamed for caused the carnage by detonating a bomb packed with shrapnel.
This is the tactics of the sophists in all times; if the facts do not meet their narrative, disavow and minimise the facts.
John 9:18-4118The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight 19and asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20His parents answered, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21but we do not know how it is that now he sees, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age. He will speak for himself.” 22His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that anyone who confessed Jesus to be the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. 23Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”
24So for the second time they called the man who had been blind, and they said to him, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.” 25He answered, “I do not know whether he is a sinner. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” 26They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27He answered them, “I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?” 28Then they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. 29We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.” 30The man answered, “Here is an astonishing thing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31We know that God does not listen to sinners, but he does listen to one who worships him and obeys his will. 32Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. 33If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” 34They answered him, “You were born entirely in sins, and are you trying to teach us?” And they drove him out.
35Jesus heard that they had driven him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36He answered, “And who is he, sir? Tell me, so that I may believe in him.” 37Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and the one speaking with you is he.” 38He said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshiped him. 39Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind.” 40Some of the Pharisees near him heard this and said to him, “Surely we are not blind, are we?” 41Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would not have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”
Jeremiah 25:8-17
8Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: Because you have not obeyed my words, 9I am going to send for all the tribes of the north, says the LORD, even for King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; I will utterly destroy them, and make them an object of horror and of hissing, and an everlasting disgrace. 10And I will banish from them the sound of mirth and the sound of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11This whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12Then after seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, says the LORD, making the land an everlasting waste. 13I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written in this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. 14For many nations and great kings shall make slaves of them also; and I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.
15For thus the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: Take from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. 16They shall drink and stagger and go out of their minds because of the sword that I am sending among them.
17So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand, and made all the nations to whom the LORD sent me drink it.
The elite know that their time is short. They will fall, they will die, and their works will not continue after them. All politicians find that their policies end in failure, and those who trust in process and evidence base more than most. But the prophets say something bleaker.
If a people become Apostate, they can be removed: the covenant runs both ways. The promises of God are there, true, but there are conditions attached to them. Israel had the blessing of God when they were faithful but the very law of Moses has consequences for their disobedience.
We are in tribes, true. The dirt of this land we have been given to husband, while this world remains. But God is living, and active, and there may be another tribe that replaces us. This should cause us to repent, not use the immigrants to destroy the native, nor deny that the nations exist.
And in the meantime, Russia is an example of how a people, once officially antiChristian, can return to faith. We should follow their example, lest we fall.
