Death for Christ [Jn 12]

There are two things to consider here. The first is that the Greeks talked to Jesus: and the second is that he talked of his death, and then from that about us.

If we live for ourselves, we will not a life make. But if we live for others, a life we will be given. At times. At other times, we don’t survive.

But the message we have, in Christ, does. And he sees us do our duty, and that God is glorified.

Now among those who went up to worship at the feast were some Greeks. So these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” Philip went and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

(John 12:20-26 ESV)

IT is a good thing to be a patriot: as a Kiwi I don’t do flags and ceremonies as well as the USA. But we don’t have fools trampling on the graves of our veterans or dishonouring them. The Maori are proud of their veterans, and will quickly correct any activist who does that. We share some things: and service in wars for the West is one of them.

But we also share Christ. Christ was proclaimed to the Maori a generation before the treaty was signed and New Zealand became British. At the cost of lives. The faith always spreads because people literally put their lives at risk to spread the gospel. Pagan Maori ritually ate their ancestors, and the last documented Missionary to die this way in New Zealand was Julius Volker, killed in St Stephen (Martyr) Opotiki in the 1880s.

A nation that does not respect duty will only have mercenaries to defend it.

We need to meditate on such. The dark is coming. Those who see Sharia and the pedophile prophet as salvation will try to kill us. I am expecting a fatwa, given this blog.

But to tell my Muslim neighbour he will achieve paradise by following that slave-owning, murderer rapist and general scum Mohammed is not loving. He is damned in Islam.

To tell the converged they are damned is now needed. We will be shunned anyway: for if we are not in the converged legions of evil we will stand out.

That could be lethal. The choice could be death for Christ, or life leading to perdition.

Again.

I pray and hope that the West will return to its senses, and again be Christendom: that the gospel will be preached, again, to all nations, and there will be a great church in Medina and a larger one in Mecca.

But that is not the case now. We could end up dead for our belief, and in that witness Christ will honour us, for we will have shared like him. If this happens, expect that the tyrants of convergence will fail. For God will not let the mockery go on overlong. Once the entryists have been purged, he will have his church.

And against that Hell itself trembles.
