Fear is a tale told by an idiot.

I do not read the text a day before, but in a conversation last night we talked about fear. How if you do not have an understanding that what you are doing is correct and (much more importantly) you will be backed by your management you fear those you work for, those whom you are trying to work with, and those you work for.

And it does not seem to matter whom you are or how you try to appease those who complain. Wil Wheaton, the geek progressive, is dismissed as having “White Nerd Privilege“. Whatever that is: when I was a kid being a nerd gave to the privilege of going home bruised and bleeding most days.

We are told by the powers to be and their socially wounded Red guards to fear the people, and the authorities, for they can find ways to destroy us. True that is. But there is nothing new here.

After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him. Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand. So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” For not even his brothers believed in him. Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil. You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” After saying this, he remained in Galilee.

But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private. The Jews were looking for him at the feast, and saying, “Where is he?” And there was much muttering about him among the people. While some said, “He is a good man,” others said, “No, he is leading the people astray.” Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke openly of him.

There is, in reality, no manner in which you can appease the progressive left. They are in a purity spiral where any sensible attitude or ability to work with others is considered badthink and leads to demands for ritual abasement and appeals for a kangaroo court. The best thing to do is mock them. If you are in the wrong caste, you are, in their eyes, automatically guilty.

If you eat your allies, you have no one on your side. They are failing, and they will fail: for the same reason that the Sadducees failed. They may have controlled the temple, but the Pharisees, who did not, sat at the feet of Moses and taught the law. And the people knew it.

The takeaway is that as long as you are white, male, and straight you will never be able to clear your name of the stain of ‘privilege’.

No matter how hard you cheer with the people of color, the women, the gays, etc. you are still guilty.

And when the SJWs look up from the corpse of whatever sad sack they just eviscerated and notice you standing on the fringe urging them on, well, it is the work of a moment for them to realize that you are prey just like other victims and to come after you.

It seems pretty clear that straight white men with any sense of self-preservation or concern for their long term interests should realize that you can’t side with the SJWs and survive.

Makes the choice pretty easy, I think.

What we need is a culture of trust. But these require that one knows duty, honour, truth, beauty, and seeks the same. All these things come from God. The fear of God and the acknowledgement that his ways are best is the beginning of wisdom.

Not the fear of men. For the progressives may take to the streets, and protest, and rage, but the adults have learned to ignore them: they are but sound and fury. Signifying nothing.

A quick note on the twitter screenshots for today. Yesterday NZ signed a big free-trade agreement. I’m not that keen on it, but when Maori say “the tangata whenua had their sovereignty stolen again” I hear the voice of the politically correct idiot, Indigenous: when I hear a person saying “this was done on the basis of US interests” I hear the leftist idiots, non Indigenous. And when they lie down on the motorway (freeway) on-ramps in my home town I feel nothing but disgust.

Their protest was a tale told by idiots. It is meaningless.
