I am no prophet. I am not Amos: I have no mission from the LORD. The core of this blog, however, is the lectionary posts. They do not get the traffic: that goes to my cynicism.

But why warn? Why read the word, and meditate, and blog? Why stick your head out?

For you are told to go get lost on a regular basis; if not here, then on twitter.

because we are told all is well, and there is nothing to fear.

But again, there is nothing new in the state having their propaganda and people have talking points, and say that there is nothing to fear. There is nothing new about death threats.

A few hours ago, I was unjustly suspended from Twitter because of false reports filed by the same leftists, feminists and social justice warriors who have been sending me death threats. I’ve appealed my suspension but have yet to hear back from Twitter. Additionally, I’m being stalked by a guy on Twitter who is impersonating me, falsely claiming I was sending death threats on Twitter, and stalking friends of mine—smearing them as “white supremacists” and “neo-Nazis”—because they’ve spoken up in my support:

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. For thus Amos has said, “‘Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel must go into exile away from his land.’”

And Amaziah said to Amos, “O seer, go, flee away to the land of Judah, and eat bread there, and prophesy there, but never again prophesy at Bethel, for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a temple of the kingdom.”

Then Amos answered and said to Amaziah, “I was no prophet, nor a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs. But the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Now therefore hear the word of the LORD. “You say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not preach against the house of Isaac.’

Therefore thus says the LORD: “‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided up with a measuring line; you yourself shall die in an unclean land, and Israel shall surely go into exile away from its land.’”

Do not expect the government to say it is corrupt. Do not expect the narrative to stop. But to expect it to be irrelevant.

For the first time in history, outside of recession years, global television advertising revenue fell year-over-year as digital advertising surged once again. Digital, in fact, should overtake TV by the end of 2017, according to a study released Monday from Magna Global.

In the U.S., digital advertising will surpass TV in 2016.

A different study from ZenithOptimedia, also released Monday, says TV’s share of the advertising pie probably peaked at 39.7 percent in 2012, and it will be overtaken by digital for the first time in 2018.

Both studies paint a rosy picture for digital advertising and a troubling one for traditional cable and broadcast TV, at least in the long term. Many TV cable channels have been losing subscribers lately — including Disney’s crown jewel, ESPN, down 7 million subs in two years — while others at Viacom and elsewhere have seen declining ratings.

It is time to go full Solzhenitsyn. To prune one’s media sources: cut the magazine subscriptions, avoid the TV news, Fox included, and avoid the websites that promote policies of destruction.

That lie. That say peace and prosperity when we are importing our enemy, and there is terror and war.

So, what shall we do? Firstly, we need not be silent. Secondly, we have to take care in how we monetize. Matt Forney is not of Christ, but speaks truth: he sells book, as does Aaron Clarey — who is very selective on what he promotes, or from the Christian redoubt, John Wesley Rawles. They build business partnerships with companies they promote. For if you let the general advertisers in, they will want their narrative.

I self fund this place: its low traffic. Stacey McCain asks for donations. Many other bloggers use hosting services such as WordPress.com, which monetize traffic automatically.

But be aware of this: those who lie may find that there is word of God for them. Generally, that is a terrible thing. For if the proud Greek matrons are now putting their bodies on the rack, so it could happen to the proud elite.
