The ruling class is of the left. And it is fungible.

I do not like to be that specific about the interpretation of texts, but there is a parallel here. In the time of Israel this applied specifically to the Babylonians — who conquered Israel, bought them to exile, and were then destroyed, as a ruling class, by the Medes and Persians, during the life of Daniel, an exile himself, and before the time of Ezra and Nehemiah.

The interesting thing is that Jeremiah told the people of Israel to settle, to work, to have families and to pray for the prosperity of the city. The ruling class may be fungible, but the people of God are not.

The second interesting thing that the Babylonians fell within the life of the exiles. It was fast. Things change rapidly.

And the final thing to note is that the fall of an elite occurs when the men of that society are trapped, powerless, foolish and effete. As I said, there are parallels with this time.

Wake yourself, wake yourself, stand up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath, who have drunk to the dregs the bowl, the cup of staggering.

There is none to guide her among all the sons she has borne; there is none to take her by the hand among all the sons she has brought up. These two things have happened to you, who will console you? devastation and destruction, famine and sword; who will comfort you?

What are the parallels? Well the left has been very successful. They have an agenda: it includes subversion of all that is good, and the corruptions of institutions. For most people think words have meaning, while to the left they have an agenda, and this mismatch of understanding allowed them to get the church and society to bow to the ground, and be walked over. In Stilettos. By both men and women.

To summarize: the answer to the question “is the Left evil or stupid?” is “yes”. The truth is what we always expected: they never held the values they professed. They were charlatans; they never had any intention of fighting for free speech with which they disagreed, they never gave a damn about blacks, Jews, homosexuals, immigrants, or science.

All those things were to them were tools. All those things were was a means of attacking that which they hate and want to destroy, Christian civilization in the West. They are literally nothing, they stand for nothing, they seek only to destroy and they have absolutely no more conception of what will come after the fall of Western civilization than Karl Marx did the Worker’s Paradise.

It is not possible to compromise with them because there is no middle ground on which to meet them. It is like trying to divide by zero. It’s not merely undesirable, it can’t be done.

But the Left, who triumphed in NZ a decade ago with the a coalition of minorities, gender fluid queer theorists, women and beneficiaries (kicking working class men out of the party because evil whitey evil) have failed, now find their coalition behind the Tories (who, being conservatives, preserve both the good and bad of the last government). They rely on scandal and propaganda. And they have become terrifyingly correct. to the point that they destroy another for a verbal flaw.

Something rotten, very rotten has happened to the Left just in my lifetime.

They used to be champions of free speech; and now they are its most vehement opponents.

They use to be able to give some sort of argument or logical reason for their position, even if an incorrect argument; now they have no argument, none of them, aside from wild and insincere accusations delivered in a mechanical fashion without any hope of being believed, phony as a three-dollar bill.

They used to be firmly on the side of the workingman; now they hate the workingman as a white racist oppressor.

They used to be in favor of free love and the sexual liberation; now they object to rocket scientists wearing shirts with cartoon women printed on them, they object to science fiction magazines showing a scantily clad warrior princess slaying a monster, and they call all sex rape, and demand strict segregation of women and men. On the same day as these protests, they appear in front of the Pope, writhing on the ground naked with crosses and crucifixes inserted into their vaginas. So the Puritan rules apply arbitrarily, without sense or order, to anyone or no one.

They used to be in favor of Blacks and other minorities; now their disgust for all the impoverished and dispossessed is plain to see. All they want is to keep the Blacks on the plantation, addicted to welfare, addicted to crack, their children aborted, their parents unwed.

The left are imploding: their interests are not serving Maori, nor tradesmen, nor factory workers, nor any other minority group (but Islam) but the exquisite sensitivities of the senior common room.

Give me the old school leftist: now fossilized in Charlie Hebdo. They hate pretence and hypocrisy: they are scabrously blasphemous. But they advocate freedom. And one can discuss the evil in men’s hearts, using their cartoons as illustrations. But the twits who have taken over would remove balls, spine and heart: leaving us without courage, duty and compassion, in the hope that we will remain their serfs.

Not realizing that ruling classes are fungible. What happened to those they knifed will happen to them.
