Politically correct at any cost [Deut 10, Heb 3]

Last night I posted a picture which summed up the entitled underclass that has replaced the starving and miserable. As one of the commentators noted, in the West we no longer have the poor, with parents eating every second or third day so their children do not starve, and children not developing their brains or full height because of poor nutrition. There was a reason the aristocrats had a duty to lead: they were not only generally bigger, but they had an IQ on the ideal range — not dropped 20 points by recurrent starvation: their families had less madness because their women were not under calorific restriction when pregnant (as happened to the Dutch at the end of WWII and the Chinese during the Great Leap Forward).

The current oppressed do not starve, true. But they are entrapped in the proletariat, from which their votes are farmed: the elite wish that they look no further that their sponsor. As if any human can be God.

And as if any man can provide peace, joy and rest.

Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

(Hebrews 4:11-13 ESV)

“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good? Behold, to the LORD your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it. Yet the LORD set his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn. For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. You shall fear the LORD your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear. He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons, and now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.

(Deuteronomy 10:12-22 ESV)

There are some words in these passages that no one wants to hear. Shame. Guilt. We will have our excuses stripped away, and be held to account. The laws given to us are simple, clear, and for our good. I think the Rabbis say there are about 660 commands in the Torah: they could summarize them in two. In this fallen age, the legislation passed each year runs to volumes, and no one can read them, or know what it takes to comply.

And we no longer accept that shame, fear and guilt are part of being human. That they are signals: you are doing wrong. Do right instead.

What has not yet dawned on feminists is that men not complaining didn’t mean men got a better deal than women. It is just that men are far less likely to complain. Most men understand that bitching, moaning, and being miserly with love is ugly. On the other hand, complaining about anything, everything, and even nothing is at the core of feminism.

Not surprisingly, Rodman sees confession sites like Scary Mommy as hallmarks of feminist progress. Let it all hang out is the new slogan for motherhood, and being true to yourself is now the ultimate maternal virtue. She is delighted at the thought of her daughters growing up to not be ashamed to be terrible mothers, liberated from the feminist arch-enemy, guilt.

But, there are consequences. Your children see this. Your habits, as you become older, are graven on your face. The fear of God has kept many a young person strong in the face of temptation, and the self-discipline they developed helped them when it came to the heavy lifting of raising children and keeping social welfare away from the children and the mortgage paid.

Our society is failing. And until we are prepared to talk about this, we are walking towards a cliff, wearing blindfolds that we ourselves put on, lest we see, and warn. For we would be politically correct at any cost.

  1. The popularity of baseball pins is certainly understandable.
They apologized and I got back in my room somewhat flustered with the whole ordeal.
A lot of people mistake speed and quickness, but these are two completely different matters.

The only reason I am not taking this down is that LG made a comment about it.

  2. That has to be the most random spam bot I’ve ever seen.

No. You do not see what is in the spam queue. I, unfortunately, do.
