One of the besetting sins of those who can see the destruction coming for the West is despair. It expresses itself as a bitterness: it causes people to give up, or let that deadly sin, wrath loose.

However, I’m more cheerful. I have seen the elite fall. I have seen fashions change. I have seen the consensus of a society change in a year: in a moment.

And I firmly believe that God is active among the Nations. He judges those who have offended him, and we have offended him. If he promised he would drive Israel from that good land they were given, he will not spare us.

So I caw, like a Raven. Repent. Daily. For me, and for my nation.

Joshua’s Charge to Israel’s Leaders

A long time afterward, when the LORD had given rest to Israel from all their surrounding enemies, and Joshua was old and well advanced in years, Joshua summoned all Israel, its elders and heads, its judges and officers, and said to them, “I am now old and well advanced in years. And you have seen all that the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake, for it is the LORD your God who has fought for you. Behold, I have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west. The LORD your God will push them back before you and drive them out of your sight. And you shall possess their land, just as the LORD your God promised you. Therefore, be very strong to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, turning aside from it neither to the right hand nor to the left, that you may not mix with these nations remaining among you or make mention of the names of their gods or swear by them or serve them or bow down to them, but you shall cling to the LORD your God just as you have done to this day. For the LORD has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day. One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the LORD your God who fights for you, just as he promised you. Be very careful, therefore, to love the LORD your God. For if you turn back and cling to the remnant of these nations remaining among you and make marriages with them, so that you associate with them and they with you, know for certain that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these nations before you, but they shall be a snare and a trap for you, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good ground that the LORD your God has given you.

“And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the LORD your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed. But just as all the good things that the LORD your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the LORD will bring upon you all the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the LORD your God has given you, if you transgress the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”

We are under judgment, and we have bought it upon ourselves. We cannot blame the homosexualists (for they are a sign of judgment) or our politicians (for they follow the ethos of the elite). If we look back to a more righteous time — and if you understand history, you will know there has been no truly righteous age, but there have been societies that chose to cling to covenants and not stray — then the world looks as if we are defeated.

In fact, having lost is almost definitional to the term reactionary. If we were winning, we would be called conservatives or centrists. A reactionary is one wanting a return to a previous order, meaning the previous the old order no longer exists. This implies that at some point in the past the reactionaries (and conservatives) were defeated.

I used the term ‘winning’ purposefully. Reactionaries and conservatives can never win, entropy is eternal and unstoppable. Chaos is always pounding at the gates and there is never any rest nor relief for the watchmen. The barbarians are always encircling the fortress and only leave once the looting and raping is over.

There was far too much pushback on Twitter on this. Some reactionaries don’t seem to get this basic point. This is foundational reaction. Cthulu swims left. To be a reactionary is to suffer defeat after neverending defeat. As long as you are a reactionary, you are defeated.

Our goal then is to advance to the point where we can become conservatives. That is the end point of reaction, to have a society worth conserving. Once we start winning we stop being reactionaries and we become conservatives. The goal of reaction is ideological self-annihilation.

But this is the difference faith brings. In faith, all kingdoms are ephemeral.

Our society is rotten. If we do not reform and repent, we will fall.

And when you find gay couples being beaten up for simply breathing by Islamic thugs, that is akin to Zechariah. We either will reform (and that is what I am praying for) or we will fall: we have the words of Christ and Moses: we have the literature and art of 1500 years of Christendom.

Historically, the progressive elite has shut down sexual license for all: when the libertines flourished — as in the last years of the ancien regime in France, or during the post WWI period in Russia — they have been purged in some form of Jacobite terror. And then the revolutionaries have fallen. Allowing sexual license, particularly in the creative classes, means almost all are ripe for blackmail, for control.

The pushback is coming. The young are reading neo reaction, and rebelling against the high church of feminism, for it no longer allows for any love or joy.

In short: St Paul was correct (which was the original title of this). If a society rejects the covenant of Grace, it will be under judgment. However, God is merciful, and will send warnings. Moreover, the intelligent will see the consequences, and rebel. Reaction will become conservatism. And if a society does not allow this, it has become akin to the victims of Cthulu: their brains are eaten. and they will wander within the mists of horror, swimming further left, becoming a footnote in history.

Far better to reform. Do not be brainless. No not be swimming with them, or like them. It is time to separate ourselves from those of the left, before we find ourselves in some form of pastoral hell.

The saying is true that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. This applies as much to nations as to peoples.
