Conquer this beast [Rev 15]

At lunch yesterday one of the registrars complained that no one here knows what is happening in Yemen, That we are ignorant. She got partially schooled: we had a Sri Lankan at the table who made a comment. I refrained from saying that the war was sponsored by the Wahabites from Saudi, and Saudi delenda est. Perhaps I should have. But I looked at the herald and Otago Daily Times this morning, and she was correct on this: we talk about small things because they are local news.

It is good to live in a bubble where there are not ten murders a weekend.

It is good not to panic when the alt media melts down or the mainstream media goes into a virtue spiral. Because these things do not last.

It is better to live rightly, and pray that we all repent. Me included. Because our time is limited, and the potential award great.

And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”

(Luke 13:6-9 ESV)

And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,

“Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name?
For you alone are holy. All nations will come
and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tent of witness in heaven was opened,

(Revelation 15:2-5 ESV)

What can I say today but pray for your nation. Particularly if you are in the USA: this week is going to be nasty. And examine your life, repent, reexamine, repent. We all have flaws. But some are greater than others. And accusing your brethren of wrong when they are doing right must be up there.

Liberals attack both masculinity and femininity to create progressive sins that are designed to be unfixable! The sense of self, which is really what male and femaleness are, is under attack. It will leave you miserable and them in control. Fight back!

At this time, be wary of those who talk too much about honour, patriotism, and progress. There is much rotten that is hidden, and many accuse others of the very sins that they have. Consider not only why Huma is crying, but why Hillary is dry eyed.

Finally, consider that this election season will pass. It is over by the end of next week. Our work, however, will continue.
