Quotage (shortbread and riblets are in the oven)

Have just finished a series of phone calls from a reporter — about PTSD. Will probably be misquoted, but it is part of the job. So let us instead clear our head by linking and quoting correctly. Besides, shortbread (with vegetables mixed in: Teenage boy food) and riblets are cooking.

Margery.

Women are doing exactly what the Big Bad Patriarchy said they would given the chance. It’s a beautiful thing how this all proves the need for such strict rules in a society. Beautiful if it wasn’t so darn disgusting, anyway.

This is one of the things that woke me up initially. The patriarchy/religion was right!

Cranberry.

Woe to those who would call good, evil, and evil, good. Indeed. To call these People Against Goodness And Normalcy “pagan” is an insult to the few pagans who honestly believe in goodness and their spiritual system (I’m thinking of those who would be fertile ground for the Word when it comes to them or they seek it). I’m thankful for so many things in my life, and in this world.

Grey Whisker (who is wrong, but his barb has more truth than one would want to admit)

I just can’t hold it in any longer. Someone needs to write an essay on this, but I want the credit for the idea. The more you think it through, the more you’ll agree.

Lucifer is a scorned woman.

[Why is he wrong? See today’s lectionary. In the next life we are not male or female, but like the angels. Better to say that women are susceptible to the lies of lucifer, and men to the lies of lucifer filtered through feminine lips].

This does remind me of Spengler, of course.

At all times and in all places, the men and women of every culture deserve each other.

If we accuse one sex of being unfaithful and Satanic, we probably accuse the other as well.
