Virtue signalling is a cause for impeachment

Impeach Obama? The man is a lame duck. He has no authority. So why bother?

The answer is given to us by the French Pour encourager les autres. The checks and balances in the US constitution have been broken, the fences that protect one part of government from the other have had bulldozers driven through them, so that all may converge and the USA can become South Canada.

Regardless of the wishes of a plurarity of Americans, and the generalized horror of the Canadians. And before you all say that yes, I’m ranting about the USA, I have relatives in North America, and that means I worry.

Oklahoma’s Republican-dominated legislature has filed a measure calling for President Barack Obama’s impeachment over his administration’s recommendations on accommodating transgender students, saying he overstepped his constitutional authority.

Lawmakers in the socially conservative state are also expected to take up a measure as early as Friday that would allow students to claim a religious right to have separate but equal bathrooms and changing facilities to segregate them from transgender students.

The bill introduced on Thursday night could force schools into costly construction, which would be difficult for them to complete after lawmakers significantly cut education funding to plug a $1.3 billion state budget shortfall.

The impeachment resolution also introduced on Thursday night calls on the Oklahoma members of the U.S. House of Representatives to file articles of impeachment against Obama, the U.S. attorney general, the U.S. secretary of education and others over the letter.

The Obama administration told U.S. public schools last week that transgender students must be allowed to use the bathroom of their choice, upsetting Republicans and raising the likelihood of fights over federal funding and legal authority.

The diversity meme is getting up my wick. This is driving the Obama push for tranny rights (most transexuals I know just go into a cubicle and LOCK THE DOOR so no one knows what is going on when weeing and pooing. Like most people, they don’t want to share these experiences). It seems that your skin colour and genitals matter more than what you do, or even if you are qualified.

Of course, our diversity celebrator thinks abandoning the raison d’etre of the convention is EXCITING!

Why is it that diversity is only ever achieved by allowing those who don’t make things, unimportant people, and those aren’t involved in the activity equal say to to key players who actually create things?

Also, notice this: more women than men is a huge deal. The individuals and their worth aren’t even mentioned, just having women there is all that is celebrated. Yet it is evil to suggest that: “Indies chosen as IIFPs were selected because of pretentious identity politics and not merit.” It’s all identity politics all the time with them, yet pointing it out is just wrong.

This, is, of course, foolishness. Because math is hard, and most gaming requires math, and if you don’t have people who can actually make things you have nothing to sell. Virtue spirals are never productive. Better to let those who create speak, but that, of course, means that you have to deal with people who you don’t like, regardless of the colour of their skin. Note that all these people are female or minorities, but all are uninvited because they are not liberals, and you cannot virtue signal if you invite them.

if they wanted more women and non Whites, the industry has awesome people. Send Mike Stackpool or for a more urban flavor Lou Porter, both great writers or Beth McCoy or Lisa Steel who could a great symposium on the law or the middleor C,J Carella writer and game designers (for GURPS and inventor of Unisystem) or Larry Corriea which would cover Black, Female and Hispanic.

I have no doubt if I racked my head I’d come up with some Asian folk too. Gaming is pretty diverse

But you see, this matters not. The Gentry care not for trade. They never have: they have trust funds. If there is a depression, they buy nice cars and build big houses because they are cheaper, and in good times they liquidate assets they bought when things are cheap. And they do not care about those who make: they assume that these things just happen, for their income comes from passive capital.

And those who want to be them are those who are trying to set the agenda. They want to be Gentry. They ape the mores and morals of the gentry, but they try to hard. Lacking capital, they signal virtue. And their avatar is Barack and his crass cousin, Justin.

Josh, Jay, and Matty, of course, are some of the most ‘privileged’ people in America. They’re very highly educated, you see. Josh has a little piece of paper that says “Harvard” on it, and that little piece of paper assures him that he will never be cast out among the poors, the middle Americans, the 2 Broke Girls viewers. But, you see, he earned it, by being the son of a Harvard man. A legacy. An aristocrat.

Have you ever met a minor aristocrat?

A minor aristocrat, that is, not someone like Donald Trump. Donald Trump is not a minor aristocrat. Donald Trump has serious money, and his father had serious money before him. No one with that much money needs to be insecure—and Donald Trump is not. His aesthetic is kitschy. His hair is kitschy. And he owns Mar-a-Lago, which was built by the richest woman in the United States. Donald Trump is an aristocrat—he’s good at making people forget it, but he is an aristocrat—but he’s secure in his position.

Josh Barro, on the other hand, is a snot-nosed kid who went to Harvard. What does he have? A piece of paper and a journalism gig. Is Josh Barro, who couldn’t tell Montana from Mongolia, a particularly talented journalist? Could he, in a double-blind test, outcompete the poors, the yokels, the disgusting average people of gross, inferior white America? If Josh Barro were hit by a truck, his bizarrely large ears and bilious guts splattered into a million giblets across the pavement of his coastal gated community, his blood separated from his veins and dripped into the sewers to ever so slightly increase the concentration of cocaine in the local water supply, would anyone care? No. Josh Barro, the minor aristocrat, is replaceable. He is privileged, but he is still insecure.

If you ever meet a minor aristocrat, insecurity will be the most obvious thing about him. It’s stamped on their round, Charlie Brown-like skulls in bright flashing letters. But they have their excuses. The minor aristocrat doesn’t shop at Walmart—not because it’s ‘low-class’; he opposes their labor practices, so he buys from Amazon instead. The minor aristocrat despises the white working class—not because he knows he might someday lose his privilege; he knows their hate is holding America back, so he says they’re all inferior, maybe even subhuman. The minor aristocrat invents an ever-expanding set of shibboleths and calls anyone who doesn’t master them Satanic (sorry, “fascist”)—not because he wants to distinguish himself from the yokels, but because justice demands it. And his shibboleths are bundled up as progressivism, socialism, Marxism, whatever sort of egalitarianism, and taught in private schools and prestigious colleges, so that only the privileged can learn them. As for Donald Trump—he’s not secure; he’s just a prole. The minor aristocrats are on top of the world.

Things are turning. There is a general disgust at the techoncratic elite, with their contempt of those who make, who do, who serve, and their worship of elite credentials. And, as the tertiary education (College) implodes, such people consider that their higher status credentials become more valuable… even though Harvard and Yale and Brown no longer teach, for they are fully converged.

Such men do not do well digging ditches or writing C or mopping floors. And they are fit for but two of those jobs. They lack the logic and the math to code.

They will be impeached if lucky. If not, there will be blood.

Be not them. Be not like them.
