The narrative is a fool [Prov 27]

There are two things that are capturing that little part of the internet I inhabit. The first is the consequence of multiple waves of Jihadists descending on Western Europe. And the second is Trump. The elite hate Trump. They see him as vulgar, crude, and not part of the club. But I don’t trust the club: I was born in the wrong area, and work with those who live in the wrong areas.

Our politicians and civil servants, on the conservative and progressive sides, come from the same background, have the same education (Philosophy, Politics and Economics and Otago or Victoria Universities, and involvement in student politics) then work as staffers for a union or think tank until they become MPs. (The Tories are encouraged to become a lawyer or businessman, and are told they have a use-by date: the Socailist consider being an MP a lifelong calling).

And they are isolated from most of the population. They live in a bubble.

If you live in an affluent ZIP code, it’s hard to see a downside to mass low-wage immigration. Your kids don’t go to public school. You don’t take the bus or use the emergency room for health care. No immigrant is competing for your job. (The day Hondurans start getting hired as green energy lobbyists is the day my neighbors become nativists.) Plus, you get cheap servants, and get to feel welcoming and virtuous while paying them less per hour than your kids make at a summer job on Nantucket. It’s all good.

This leads to a narrative. Anything that breaks the Narrative must be silenced.

The journalist’s vocation is to become someone who speaks and knows. Instead, in Orwell’s time as in ours, left-wing news media have assumed the role of protector of the official state narrative, no matter how that narrative conflicts with facts and reason. In other words, they lie—on three levels:

One, they bury news of interracial crime that involve a White victim. Two, when reporting such occurrances, they refuse to identify or synthesize the larger social pattern that those occurrances constitute, de rigueur trivializing every instance of Black-on-White murder, for example, as “random” or “robbery gone wrong.” And finally, the media actively construct an anti-reality narrative around current events to promote sentiments and policies that drive the ongoing dispossession of Whites in their own countries.

Now, yes, this is a lectionary post. But the text today is from Proverbs. And today, the press is a fool, and the narrative is a fool.

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.
A stone is heavy, and sand is weighty, but a fool’s provocation is heavier than both.
Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
Better is open rebuke than hidden love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

(Proverbs 27:1-6 ESV)

Roosh managed to stun the press by asking them why they are not discussing the harassment of women in Germany and the rape of children in Sweden. While he is being called out as evil: that he is not to be allowed into New Zealand because he promotes “rape”. That is, he says that if a woman does not have street smarts she finds herself vulnerable.

If Roosh became Supreme Imam Valizadeh and I reinvented myself as David el-Garrett, Senior News Writer for Return of the Caliphate, SJWs would not threaten our readers and supporters with rape, serious injury, and death, let alone promise violent protests at our events. How do I know this? Because SJWs in Sydney and Melbourne in particular, along with those in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Scotland, have utterly failed to raise anything more than a whisper against truly violence-advocating Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Unlike Roosh, who has reiterated for an eternity, including this week, that the “legal rape” article was a satire, Hizb ut-Tahrir and comparable groups are allowed to preach a dead serious political programme of religious intolerance and the incitement of system-wide violence without any prospect of fury from rabid Australian and other SJWs. I challenge Sydney hate mob organizer Elizabeth Tory and people of her ilk to show evidence of massive protests and serious threat factories they stirred up against Hizb ut-Tahrir, which has regular meetings in Australian metropolitan areas.

….

Hizb ut-Tahrir has defended the “right” of honor killings against women, such as when a girl falls in love with a man her parents do not want her to marry. It has additionally called for a savage and never-ending jihad against the Jews. This group not only exists in Sydney, Melbourne and other cities across the Western world, it has been invited to multiple Australian universities.

Curiously, a number of columnists from left-of-center papers, such as Melbourne’s The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald, have previously defended the group’s right to appear at events. One very notable defense spoke of its role in the “marketplace of ideas.” Apparently this same courtesy does not extend to Return of Kings, even when we use satire.

We have a real problem with violence and we need to protect the vulnerable. It may indeed be time to be armed, for an unarmed population has to have borders. If you let the tribes in, there will be pain. For the tribesmen. If you over reach there will be payback.

The opposition to the TPP was ugly. Worse than that, it backfired. At first, the crowds of thousands walking Auckland’s streets in protest were impressive.

Until you talked to them.

Too many of them didn’t even know why they were protesting.

“I dunno, to be honest,” was roughly what one man said.

“I’m just here for my people.”

The sight of Sue Bradford wrestling with police – again – can do quite a good job of drawing attention to a cause.

But the sight of Sue Bradford sitting on the tarmac in the middle of a main road to deliberately disrupt the traffic of a city already cursed with motorway constipation is just infuriating.

How did the TPP become the fault of Aucklanders who are just trying to get to work? How did it require vandalism of one minister’s electorate office? How would molotov-cocktail bombing another minister’s office stop it?

It’s a pity, because for once we were having a grown-up conversation about trade – a topic only slightly less boring than the history of tax accounting.

Well-read opponents have raised points worth discussing.

Things like whether this deal will make medicines more expensive or push up house prices by tying our hands over foreign investment, or – proper horror – end up with our Government being sued for gazillions by an evil foreign corporate with Harvard-educated lawyers and an unlimited “sue-them-for-everything” legal budget.

Well, we were talking about those things but got distracted by a bunch of people lying in the middle of the road and we instead started talking about what a huge inconvenience this was to Auckland traffic, which is already so bad because there hasn’t been enough investment and what do you really think of the City Rail Link now that they’re going to start building it sooner?

Do you see what you did there, protesters?

Let’s not even get started on the debacle that was the PM’s cancelled trip to Waitangi because, yes, it was the TPP that derailed that also.

No one would blame you for missing that detail because in the end no one was talking about the implications to Maori sovereignty of the TPP. We just ended up trying to decide if the PM should tell Ngapuhi to get stuffed – again.

It really didn’t matter what the protesters’ placards said or what road they lay on, the deal was always going to be signed.

But what TPP-haters have done is drive the thousands of ordinary Kiwis who don’t really understand the deal and its implications straight into the arms of the TPP fan-boys and girls.

So, some things to note.

  • We have a rape culture. It is caused, not by Kebabs (Arabs) but the Orcs within the immigrants who deliberately molest and rape. The West police their own: the Arabs should do also
  • Roosh used to write about seduction. So did Mike Cernovitch. (Vox Day, who is hated even more, did not: he was married and happily so). Now Roosh talks about the disintegration of Western Cultures — having lived in a Catholic country (Poland) and see the EU dismantling it — and Mike talks about self-improvement.
  • Men want to learn how to do things better. That gives Mike and Roosh an audience
  • The TPPA is flawed. I have reasons to suspect it. But the protesters were bone ignorant, disruptive, and broke the unwritten rules as to what is acceptable in NZ. This has led to blowback sufficient that a paid-up member of the narrative class has noticed it.

And wisdom is known by all her children. Sometimes in places where we don’t want to look. But know this: the narrative is a tool of the current elite. Who know their time is limited. It sounds weighty and impressive, but it is the cackling of fools. Do not heed it.

The TPPA is one of those classic “politics makes odd bedfellows” events. What started as very much a Globalist vs Nationalist issue morphed over time into a Large Corporations vs Small Corporations & Specific Economic Sectors against each other. Though it’s really about Intellectual Property Rights.

If it goes badly for other countries (it actually won’t do much for opening up trades), at some level I don’t have the greatest of sympathy. Much of this was driven by the Pharmaceutical Industry. The “dirty secret” of that sector is that the rest of the world gets cheaper drugs because all of the Profit comes from the USA. The French being the most direct in having a standing threat to void Patents if the price offered isn’t to their liking. So for as bad as the deal likely is for all parts, I can’t help by saying “you’ve always got to pay the Piper”.
