That’s been true for a rather long while. You’re not going there to find God. (Frankly, you better go in expecting to defend God more than anything else.) Though my impression is that the peak insanity started in the mid-90s among the Divinity School set. But that was just the end result of a long, long walk into Satan’s dwelling place.
