Goodthink is unstable.

One of the comments yesterday was along the lines that the Church will survive being abandoned by the West, but the West will not survive being abandoned by the Church. That’s true.

I think of society as an unstable thing. Perhaps it is because I’ve lived a bit: I did read 1984 when that year appeared to me a time in the distant future, when perhaps I would graduate from medical school.

During these years I have seen intellectual fashions change. The goodthinkers were hippies, then against the missiles and Reagan buildup, definitely against Thatcher, and I have seen the changes. I have seen my nation move from a quasi socialist state where everyone was employed and all things regulated to very close to laissez-faire. I have seen society flip in a year.

What is the current goodthink will not be the current goodthink in a year or so. And when the support is taken away, one will find out what a person has. Sometimes that humility will lead to faith, sometimes to destruction.

Well, this guy just KNOWS that religion is bunkum and wonders why the rest of us small-minded types can’t just get with the program of self-knowledge and throw off the binding chains of guilt-ridden fairy tales.

I can only now recognize and give name to the cracks in the world I’ve seen and felt since high school, which for me was the mid-90s: abandonment of Christianity. I abandoned it myself, in high school, because it seemed that the world had moved beyond it and had better explanations for life, the universe, and everything…except it didn’t, and the more I learned, the less I knew, and had to go back to square one, and then realized that I *knew* so much of this all along. I may have needed that foil of unknowing to get back to basics. Blessed are they who have not seen, and believed. But Jesus forgave Thomas, and Thomas evangelized.

The current goodthink is quite against Israel and the Jews. It used to be for them. It is quite for homosexuality and all perversions except pederasty: but it is not that long since know pederasts were honoured and celebrated from Roman Polanski to Ed Kramer.

These kids are waving three fingers to celebrate three Israeli Jews being kidnapped and murdered. From Pamela Geller’s site

But remember, at all times, that the goodthinkers are the secular inquisition. Do not be one of them, and do not associate with them.

They Have Afflicted Me from My Youth

A Song of Ascents.

“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth”—
let Israel now say—
“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth,
yet they have not prevailed against me.
The plowers plowed upon my back;
they made long their furrows.”
The LORD is righteous;
he has cut the cords of the wicked.
May all who hate Zion
be put to shame and turned backward!
Let them be like the grass on the housetops,
which withers before it grows up,
with which the reaper does not fill his hand
nor the binder of sheaves his arms,
nor do those who pass by say,
“The blessing of the LORD be upon you!
We bless you in the name of the LORD!”

(Psalm 129 ESV)

The Parable of the Tenants

“Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

“‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them. And although they were seeking to arrest him, they feared the crowds, because they held him to be a prophet.

(Matthew 21:33-46 ESV)

Most people forget that all the apostles were Jews — from Peter to Paul, all were of the Tribe of Israel. Salvation comes from the Jews, and the only books in scripture that may not have a Jewish Author are Job, Luke and Acts. [I think Luke was a Greek convert]. Jesus was confronting the Pharisees, the goodthinkers of his day, working under the paradigm of the temple, and not knowing that the temple would not last more than another generation. By the end of the first century of the Christian era we have both Masada and the first Christian martyrs.

We should not fall into the modern goodthink era of despising the Jews and despising Israel. For there are righteous within Israel, and I do not think they are training their children to celebrate the death of people they kidnap. Instead, I mourn for Arab Civilization, for as they have driven out both Jew and Christian in a forlorn hope that if the country is fully Islamic it will be blessed instead reality kicks them in the teeth.

And they are a warning to the political elite in the West. If like them, you destroy the righteous, you will not have truth within our society or the ability to preserve the virtues you want. You will descend to savagery. And the goodthinkers will praise you for it.
