I agree, Chris. I had an epiphany of sorts, watching the theatrics from afar. That I have lost sight of why I started again to begin with. Unlike Hearthie, I do feel compelled to write about being a dear wife, LOL, but out of a relationship with Christ. Christ first, permeating everything we do, including our families.
It is very easy to get distracted from the thing that we originally feel called to. Empathologism did an excellent job of exploring this, how the very nature of this venue takes us away from the first principles that drew us to it in the first place. Totally worth a read:

This. This is why HHH isn’t about being-a-dear-wife 99% of the time. Not that being a good wife isn’t important. But being a good wife flows from being in love with Christ. So I try to write as rawly as possible, and I write about the state of my soul and how it got there. I tried writing about other stuff, it felt fake.
