Are you so sure that women get a free pass? Or that men don’t? Do you have any evidence you can share with us? Or even just some anecdotes?

And do you mean in churches? Government communications and policy? Media? Society in general? I would expect the situation to vary. I find it very unlikely, for example, that women would be given a free pass by other women (ask around). Probably the opposite. So blanket statements can be very misleading.

As a man I am much more sensitive to the criticisms made of men than those of women but that doesn’t mean that women aren’t in the firing line as well. Men are certainly getting a free pass in this particular article (which is ironic given the title). How about modelling the balance that you think should apply?
