The law is indeed rich

Couple of parts of the reactionary, about behaviour. In business and in work. On honesty, integrity.
Leviticus 19
9When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the LORD your God.11You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; and you shall not lie to one another. 12And you shall not swear falsely by my name, profaning the name of your God: I am the LORD.13You shall not defraud your neighbor; you shall not steal; and you shall not keep for yourself the wages of a laborer until morning. 14You shall not revile the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind; you shall fear your God: I am the LORD
I Thess 5
15See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. 16Rejoice always, 17pray without ceasing, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

We argue a lot, in our society, about being faithful to each other. We over value our relationships. We forget that we need to be faithful in all things — in our work, our property, our relationships.
And we forget that we need to sacrifice the last bit of efficiency for sustainability. The hedgerows should be able to feed the poor, and sustain the wild. In today’s society, this might mean an estra can of food or pack of pasta for the foodbank… it does mean paying the workers on time.
And it means rejoicing when one is blessed, and mourning for those who grieve. Not denying either. The Law is indeed rich.
