Waimate North

Waimate North is an old CMS (Christian Missionary Service — Anglican Missionaries) dating from the early 1840s. These are from the churchyard and church.

Nikon d800, Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AF/D f 5.6 outside, f 1.8 inside, minimal post processing, cut down to 200 x 1500 by Darktable

We were travelling North today and detoured to the Puhoi general store, where we saw two fairly expensive convertables, a very small library and a bridge.

All shot with Nikon d800, Nikkor 50 mm @ f 1.8, Apeture priority, and colours enhanced velvia filter in Darktable.

North Dunedin Cemetery.

The Victorians were good at remembering we will all be dead. In this spring, the gravestones are hidden by the greenery: in winter the place is bleak.

Bokeh on gray

Both photos taken today: different lenses, different places. One is is a cemetery, one near a shearing shed.
