The libels of the haters.

There are far too many who hate the church. They accuse it if suppressing alternatives: but their data is, as usual flawed. As Robert McCain notes: I would add that anti-Papism, like anti-Semitism, is a sign of a corrupt and flawed soul, preaching damnation [1].

Michelet’s hatred of the Catholic church — he hoped for nothing less than the “death of Christianity” — inspired him to depict witches as having been victimized by an ignorant clergy who were envious of the witches’ knowledge of nature and miraculous healing powers. This interpretation (witches good, Christians bad) was seized upon by an eccentric American suffragette, Matilda Joslyn Gage, whose 1893 book Woman, Church and State became the source for the oft-repeated feminist claim that 9 million witches were killed in Europe in a 300-year span between the 14th and 18th centuries. This preposterous figure (which, by simple math, would require the deaths of 2,400 witches per month, every month, year after year for three hundred years) is not merely a ridiculous exaggeration, but a gross libel against Christianity. As strange as it is to modern minds that anyone could be executed for witchcraft, in fact the total number of such executions in Europe during that era, according to the best historical estimates, was less than 100,000, and perhaps as few as 40,000, and fully a quarter of the victims were male. However, because feminists are willing to believe anything that depicts men as evil oppressors and women as innocent victims, this myth of the witch-hunts as a patriarchal atrocity continues to be recited even after it has been completely debunked by historians.

No, we must hate the Catholics, despise the Protestants (because Geneva Burned Servetus) and talk about imaginary horrors to deflect debate from the modern ones.

The gruesome hits keep coming for the baby butchers of Planned Parenthood. President Obama and his top health officials have one last-ditch response left: Quick, hide behind the imaginary mammogram machine!

As more graphic, money-grubbing undercover videos of Planned Parenthood’s for-profit aborted baby parts racket emerge thanks to the investigative work of the Center for Medical Progress, desperate Democrats are in full deflection mode. U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Mathews Burwell defended federal funding for Planned Parenthood this week by invoking the women’s health shield. “What I think is important is that our HHS funding is focused on issues of preventative care for women, things like mammograms,” Burwell told the House Education and Workforce Committee.

Just one teeny, tiny problem with this defense: It’s a completely calculated fabrication.

The breast-cancer screening charade casts Planned Parenthood as a life-saving provider of vital health services unavailable anywhere else. You may recall that during the 2012 presidential cycle, Obama himself falsely claimed during a debate that the abortion provider administers mammograms to “millions” of women — and liberal CNN moderator Candy Crowley let him get away with it.

On cue, Hollywood activists Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington all attacked the GOP ticket for wanting to “end” funding for “cancer screenings” by cutting off government subsidies for Planned Parenthood’s bloody billion-dollar abortion business.

The celebrities in the White House and Tinseltown took their script straight from Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services, who purported to speak for countless women for whom Planned Parenthood is “the only way” they can gain access to mammograms.

(If the name sounds familiar, Nucatola is the same wine-swishing Josephine Mengele who was exposed on tape by the Center for Medical Progress two weeks ago lolling through a business lunch negotiating payments for aborted baby parts.)

Once again, it was undercover pro-life journalists who unmasked the truth.

An investigation of 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in 27 different states, conducted by pro-life group Live Action, confirmed that the abortion provider does not perform breast-cancer screenings. “We don’t provide those services whatsoever,” a staffer at Planned Parenthood of Arizona confessed on tape.

Expect more of the same. Divert away from where the elite are guilty, project blame elsewhere, claim victim status, demand damages and ritual abasement, move on. My advice: play not their games. Call them out: confront, and do not apologize.

For they do not like the truth applied to them.

1. Yes, this Pope is an anti-christ. But that is around his denial of the gospel, and most Faithful Catholics know that.

Just random thought here: Didn’t we just sign that Obamacare (mandatory health insurance for all) business in? In that case, how do we have uninsured women who only have PP for health care services?
