I have switched on the logo for this place and changed all my gravatars to reflect this. It is an old hotel from Dunedin: similar buildings once existed in Auckland. This type of building only exists in Dunedin now.
In addition there is now a wordpress counter on the front page.
I am feeling a little better today but should still hold myself in quarantine and have taken Robyn’s advice to rest. One son is off doing a 15 k walk which unfortunately clashed with the orchestra: but then I am not going to share bugs with them. So some more music: all this is from New Zealand.
Bic Runga. One of our better writers.
Wellington Ukuleles. Kings of Leon cover.
And two from where I live. The Chills were one of the main bands who made the Dunedin sound, which has unfortunately fossilized, as they have become fathers and academics.
.
I have some new music to discover!
Love that old flatiron building. We have a few of them here and there in Ontario.
Jenny wanted more music — I have caught a fairly nasty virus that brewed in the student halls (it is the third week of the academic year) and was bought home by a son. Hope to be better in a day or so.
