Kaffir logic.

You have to be careful on Twitter. As the JB says…

I’ve written about Jess before and she writes charming pieces like abortion shouldn’t be rare and is generally a really despicable person who hates half of humanity and blames all her problems and all the world’s problems on them.

So when Jess posted that picture, I needed to goad her into replying to me directly so I wouldn’t violate Twitter’s spamming rules. I used Poe’s Law to attribute a few false but utterly plausible quotes to her, and sure enough, she replied.

Jess is not terribly smart.

Now Twitter is a little outraged at Jess’ callous indifference to the suffering of men and boys and she is catching a bit of hell. Predictably, she is having a big victim party and sulking. It was just a joke, after all.

Yeah, but when a couple Islamists start talking about how they are going to behead those who have been fighting against them — against all the rules of civilized behaviour, they get butthurt when the other side fights back.

So they, the little cowards that they are, call us Kaffir (or heathen, or unhuman) and block us. (And I expect to be blocked as well: no big issue because not reading their hateful tweets is good for my blood pressure).

But that kind of hatefulness is what screen capture is for.

Now, the current point of Outrage (TM) by the offended arm of the elite is Israel. Hamas play this up, including threatening journalists and generally rewriting facts to make the most emotive propaganda.

Imagine that! After I posted this piece, the Telegraph changed the voice over, omitting the observation that the open-air market was closed. That doesn’t matter. Look at the empty lot for yourself: NO VENDERS, NO CROWDS. There was NO STRIKE ON A CROWDED MARKET. I wonder if Hamas threatened the Telegraph’s reporters in Gaza?

What a surreal experience. As I was looking for new corroboration that the market was closed, articles were changing between the moment I clicked the link and the page opened. It was like the Michael Douglas movie Disclosure, where he’s inside the virtual computer, and the files are disappearing before his eyes. The Telegraph’s cached articles have been removed, so somebody thought it was really important to conceal the fact that the market was closed.

Using Google Translate, I tried every language, including Arabic. Finally I began searching for specific sentences. None of them gave me any results. The information that the Shijaiyah market was closed on July 30, 2014, had been entirely scrubbed from the Internet.

Now, for the Islamists who troll through the internet: note a couple of things. I’m Christian, I have your IP address if you comment, and nothing gets up here without going through as feral a spam filter as I can fit into wordpress. But there is a logic in the Christian position.

  1. We are commanded (I Philiipians 1:27) to live a live worthy to the citizenship we have. Which is in heaven (The good news is that through Christ our crimes and sins can be expunged, and there is no other hope for salvation). We do not look towards winning in this world, but to being the hands and feet of Christ in this time. Our citizenship is not our tribe or nation, but Christ’s.
  2. As part of that we have to seek truth, and speak truth. If you commit a crime — and killing the members of another faction after a war is a war crime — they you will be called on it.
  3. As we seek truth, we get more discerning about lies. Both the pretty lies of the feminists, and the more bloody ones that the Wahabites have.
  4. The tactics of the Islamists are working about as well as the Leftists, which is not at all. It is driving Christians together. Not apart: you cannot try to divide the Catholic Haspburgian empire from the Protestant Northern German: for those of faith now function as one. (And, again, this is as we are commanded to be).
  5. Silencing us will not work, because we would rather obey God than man. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we have died by the thousands for our faith. We count it a privilege, not to kill others in some form of war in the name of our faith, but to share in the sufferings of our saviour.

Finally, do not piss our secular brothers off too much, The Australians and New Zealanders took down the Ottoman Empire and liberated Palestine from the Nile to Tyre during WWI. And there is always a risk. That your enemies will no longer have restraint.

Pray that they have restraint. The alternative is unthinkable. I do not want to see a revanchist Gaullism driving Algerians out, or the white nationalists removing every Bengali from Bradford. But it could happen.

Perhaps the Islamists can learn from Ms Valenti. After being hated all day, she responds with at least some wit in her snark.

But in the meantime, when judging movements, Do not look at what they say, but what they do. By the fruits of their actions you will know them.
